Nyl-Glo Flags

What is Nyl-Glo? It is a flag made of 100% nylon using DuPont SolarMax™.

SolarMax™ brand nylon was introduced by DuPont in 1996 to promote superior ultraviolet resistance and appearance benefits of a family of nylon yarns for use in outdoor fabric applications. The product line includes 200- and 400-denier bright and semi-dull luster, and 30- to 210-denier high-tenacity yarns.

DuPont nylon yarns have enjoyed excellent performance for many years in applications such as flags, banners, hot-air balloons, parachutes, sportchutes, life jackets, and tents. Inherent strength and built-in ultraviolet resistance, using a base type 6,6 nylon, allows superior performance over type 6 nylons and polyesters of similar fabric constructions.

For bright color or sparkling luster applications, the use of the bright or high-tenacity yarns makes attractive fabrics while maintaining even dye appearance and good screen printing/dyeing processing. Use of bright-luster yarns will also provide enhanced brilliance for higher-intensity screening graphics.

Nyl-Glo flag features:

• Brass grommets--Flags through sizes 6 x 10' feature strong, durable solid brass grommets.
  
  
• Embroidered stars--All sewn flags 6 x 10' and smaller come standard with beautiful embroidered stars.
  
  
• Appliqued stars--All sewn flags 8 x 12' and larger come standard with bright white appliquéd stars on an Old Glory field.
  
  
• Headers--All our flags are constructed with heavy canvas heading material.
  
  
• Stitching--All seems are double-stitched and fly ends have 4 to 6 rows of stitching.
  
  
• Metal thimbles--All flags 8 x 12' and larger are made with roped heading and metal thimbles for larger flagpoles.
